Training Centre

An important part of our activities is the operation of a training centre for professional drivers and workers in road transport. For our clients we offer comprehensive training courses, with an emphasis on practical knowledge and the ability of course graduates to actually apply the acquired skills in practice — thereby enabling them to make their work more efficient. Courses for initial qualification or periodic driver training are, under current legislation, only allowed to be conducted by training centres that have obtained “Registration as a training centre” from the relevant District Office for Road Transport and Highways.

The TLM Trans, s.r.o. training centre has — based on Act No. 280/2006 Coll. and by decision of the District Office for Road Transport and Highways in Prešov — been issued registration to conduct courses of mandatory initial qualification and periodic training for drivers of vehicles of categories C, CE and D (so-called “CPC” courses).

Driver Training

The Ministry of Transport, Construction and Regional Development of the Slovak Republic has established an information portal where candidates can find detailed information about how to obtain a driver qualification card, which training and where a driver is required to complete it, and the legislative regulations governing this area.

Applicants registered with ÚPSVaR (the Slovak Labour Office) can — upon meeting the conditions — request from ÚPSVaR a contribution for retraining as part of the RE-PAS program. In such a case, the course will be covered in full.

CPC courses include

Initial qualification for drivers of cargo and passenger transport.
Periodic training for drivers of cargo and passenger transport.

Courses are conducted according to established curricula focused on:

Knowledge of vehicle construction and main vehicle components
General knowledge about transport and administrative procedures
Basic knowledge and responsibilities in the transport of goods
Basic knowledge of responsibilities in passenger transport
Practical experience in cargo transport
Practical experience in passenger transport
Health, road and environmental safety

Advanced Courses and Training

In addition to the aforementioned mandatory courses, we also provide advanced training in the following areas:

Theoretical and practical operation of digital tachographs directly in vehicles
Social legislation in transport, with emphasis on efficient utilisation of driver working time
Loading and securing cargo, with practical demonstrations
Transport contracts
International agreements and conventions in road transport
Transport geography, cost calculation and optimisation in road transport
Customs issues
Eco-driving / economical driving (theory + practice)
Conditioning drives (driver training drives)

These professional trainings are carried out based on the individual needs of our clients, and are suitable not only for drivers but also for dispatchers and managers in road transport. We employ not only theoretical knowledge but also decades of practical experience of our instructors.
